Life is strange is an episodic-based graphic adventure video game developed by Dontnod Entertainment and published by Square Enix in January 2015. This is a single player game based on the story of an 18-year-old photographer who finds out that she has the potential to rewind time which makes her capable of enacting the butterfly effect.
The plot here is that Max forecasts a storm that would destroy her entire city so she takes on the responsibility to go back in time and prevent certain happenings that would stop the destruction in the future. Gameplay here includes exploring various locations, making environmental changes and solving quests.
Players can also interact with non-playable characters and have a conversation with them. The mechanism of going back or rewinding time lets the player redo any action that has already been done.
On changing and resetting an event, it may have a positive or negative short-term or long-term consequence. The conversations and choice of dialogues also affect the storyline.
